On September 10th, INGREDIZYMES participated in the final evaluation of the Ingenia Startup Awards 2026 in Madrid, an initiative organized by FIAB – Federación Española de Industrias de Alimentación y Bebidas and the Plataforma Tecnológica Food for Life-Spain (PTF4LS), with the collaboration of the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food.
Selected as one of seven finalists from 33 applications, INGREDIZYMES had the opportunity to present its technology and vision before a jury of experts from the Spanish agri-food innovation ecosystem.
During the final, our CEO, Néstor Ibarz, presented IngreDiZymes’ approach to developing science-driven functional ingredients through enzymatic biotechnology. Our technology focuses on transforming natural raw materials into innovative bioactive solutions with potential applications across the food, nutraceutical and cosmetic industries, combining scientific validation, biotechnology and the valorization of natural resources.
The event also brought together six other innovative startups: Fibtray® Ultratech Solutions, Bioplastics4Health, NOB166®, Remolonas, Sporalys and Mostea Refrescos. Sharing the final stage with these projects provided an opportunity to discover different technological approaches addressing current and future challenges across the agri-food sector.
For INGREDIZYMES, reaching the final of Ingenia Startup 2026 represents another step in increasing the visibility of our technology and strengthening our position within the Spanish innovation ecosystem. The event provided a valuable opportunity to showcase our enzymatic biotechnology platform, receive feedback from industry experts and establish new connections with companies, researchers and innovation stakeholders.
We congratulate Fibtray® Ultratech Solutions, NOB166® and Remolonas, selected as the three winning projects of Ingenia Startup 2026.
We would also like to thank FIAB, the Plataforma Tecnológica Food for Life-Spain (PTF4LS), the jury and all participating startups for creating a space where entrepreneurship, science, biotechnology and industry can come together to accelerate innovation in the agri-food sector.
